Literary Festival Announces Top New Guests For 2017
Comedian, TV Presenter and author Sue Perkins has been announced as the latest guest to appear at the UK’s only ‘festival in a factory”, the Stoke-on-Trent Literary Festival held at the Emma Bridgewater Factory, Hanley on Saturday 10th June at 4pm.
The former BBC Great British Bake Off host will be in conversation with North Staffordshire raised TV presenter and producer Anna Richardson about her best-selling memoir Spectacles.
“We’re very excited to welcome Sue and Anna to the Literary Festival for a wonderfully entertaining event which we know will be a great hit with our warm and enthusiastic audience,” says Festival founder and trustee Emma Bridgewater. “The Festival is all about opportunities to have stimulating and inspiring encounters with great writers, entertainers and thinkers here in Stoke-on-Trent and 2017 promises to be another eclectic and inspiring celebration of brilliant books and outstanding writing in this most creative of cities.”
Also announced today as a guest of the Literary Festival is journalist and broadcaster Rowan Pelling who will interview author and journalist Clover Stroud (Emma Bridgewater’s sister) about her lyrical and adventurous memoir The Wild Other on Friday 9th June at 8pm.
